One of the important celebrations in this region is Qoyllority, wich takes place between the mountains Shinakara and Collquecruz.

Important god of the Indians Q´eros and Q´eshuas, magical place for meditation and spiritual ceremonies to Pacha Mama (Mother earth) and to the Apu Ausangate.

The surrounding areas can also be used for favorite sporting events. This region also has multicolored lagoons. The lagoons are rich in flora and fauna and a good place to fish for trout while Andean Llamas, Alpacas, Vicuñas and ovines feed on the abundant vegetation.

Q´EROS

The Inca Nation of  Q´eros, is located in the Vilcanota mountain range region of Cusco. It is in the other side of the snow capped  Apu Shinakara, Q´eros inhabitants are people that practice ancestral ceremonies and have carried with them their customs from generation to generation. Presently, Q´ero men

hold on to their universal laws and the community is considered a basic cell in wich no one person owns the land as it is considered a collective. Q´eros are governed by old men and priests (Kuraka). Q´eros are guided by three important rules:

Do not lie, do not steal, do not practice leisure.

Q´EROS INDIA HOUSES

The home that the Q´eros, live in are made of mud and stone, roof is  made out of straw; and incredibly children, old man, cats, dogs and hens share the same room. The room is also the kitchen, dinningroom, bedroom, hospital and place for velatorys. Generally, The beds for sleeping are made of  Alpaca wool and the blankets used made by local  women in the town.

Q´ERO INDIAN WOMEN

Q´ero Indian women today are like open wounds that would cut your soul in half, she would make the devil himself soften and cry, Indian women from the day they are born are destined to work and suffer. They are exposed to cold harsh winds, hot sun, carry heavy loads on their backs and sleep on top of cold dirt floors. Once an Indian girl learns to walk she is taught to be a Shepard taking care of the family sheep. By five years old she has learned to cook and weave. When she reaches adolescents, she works the land, harvests and exchanges products.

LLAMA CELEBRATION AND PAYMENT TO THE EARTH

The presence of  rich plantable land allows the Andean man to cultivate corn and Coca plants. In the rain forest 500 msnm, harvests are done in each August in planned farming areas impossible to access by vehicles. Llamas are generally used to transport harvested crops.

When the harvests are completed a celebration is made in honour of llama and Pacha Mama where the Q´ero men and llamas drink Chicha together wich is a drink made from corn.

Indian Q´ero in Pacha Mama and Inti adoration elevates at such level of mysticism that even  the biggest religious beliefs would be envious of it. When the Inca Q´ero opens the offerings and kisses the ground; so much is the unction that the material  part becomes spiritual, Indian Q´ero salutes the sun with the spiritual part, soul floods and dilutes  in the luminous star.

MYSTIC CELEBRATION IN QOYLLORITI

The religious expression that Andean mountain men use is polarized by the spiritual and religious  duality, this way we can understand Catholicism and Christianity that here in middle of us. It has not given remedy of saint, the cross and the bible had not helped us at all but that for our culture degeneration.

If Indian Inca wants god, the Pacha Mama and the Inti are those who have to believed, because this natural deities are not only good they are full of wisdom.

FERTILITY PARTIES

Each year the Q´eros nation celebrate summer equinox by giving fertility parties in wich they express mysticism and offerings to their natural Goddess.

This celebration consists of a ritual of payment to the Pacha Mama for fertility and good procreation of seeds, animals and men. Songs; Indian music, are expressions of their spiritual connection with their hunger. Indian music, since the artistic currents infiltrated Tahuantinsuyo. had become a pain complaint, a mortal shout from a broken heart, is the vocalization   of the felling of a race, Indian music is an infinite range of mysteries, a scale of endless tonality, of moaned transfered of spirituality and belief in its Gods, music is a sob and destroys the soul..
